Brand New petrol station development

A site may look suitable from the road and still create problems once access, levels, tanker movement, municipal requirements and underground services are considered. Good petrol station site planning starts by testing how the property must work in practice.

Our in-house project management, architecture and quantity surveying teams work together on the new petrol station development and help with fuel station approval planning. Civil, structural and other specialist inputs are coordinated through the appointed project team.

Critical Parts of a new fuel station design

Unclear site constraints

Overlooking the constraints early leads to redesign, added cost and approval delays.

Changing layouts late disrupts coordination, increases costs and pushes out timelines.

Poor approval planning

Approvals take time. Poor planning leads to unnecessary waiting and program slip.

Poor coordination

Disconnected scopes causes clashes, rework and disputes on site.

FAQs

THETA can become involved during early planning, design, costing, construction or an existing project that needs stronger coordination. Early involvement generally allows more time to identify site, approval, programme and budget risks.

THETA's core role is professional project delivery, including architecture, project management, cost management and coordination. Contractors and specialist consultants are appointed or managed according to the project structure and THETA's agreed scope.

Yes. Theta’s appointment can be structured around the specific support required. This may include architecture, project management, cost control, site assessments or coordination of pump and tank work.

Useful starting information includes the site location, current project stage, proposed scope, available drawings, photographs, known site problems, target dates and any existing brand or approval requirements.

Fees and programmes depend on the site, project stage, required professional services and overall complexity. THETA must first understand the confirmed scope before providing an appropriate proposal and realistic project programme.
