The Engen Jeff Masemola project included new pump-and-tank infrastructure, forecourt and civil works, shop conversion, Café 365 coordination, canopy refurbishment, electrical and mechanical services, branded signage, compliance coordination and final handover.

The fuel infrastructure work included tank-farm excavation, underground tank installation, backfilling, fuel piping, trenching, pressure testing, automatic tank-gauging equipment, smart controllers and dispenser installation.
Project cost records identify two 46kl underground tanks and one 23kl underground tank, together with five six-hose dispensers. These specialist works formed a central part of the Engen Jeff Masemola project and had to be sequenced with the civil, electrical and forecourt programme.
The existing concrete forecourt was demolished to make way for the new fuel and site works. The civil scope included kerbing, paving, stormwater reinstatement, separator manhole covers, bollards and associated external works.
This part of the retail fuel station project Jeff Masemola had to support customer circulation, fuel deliveries, drainage, dispenser positions and the daily operation of the completed site. It is a clear example of why service station construction coordination starts with how the whole property must work once it reopens.
The existing convenience shop was converted to the Engen retail format, with THETA involved in shop design and coordination of the Café 365 requirements.
The recorded workstreams included shelving, electrical services, refrigeration, air-conditioning, kitchen extraction, bakery drainage, ventilation, point-of-sale equipment, computer equipment and CCTV coordination. Each specialist package had to fit the shop layout and the wider reopening programme.
The existing canopy was refurbished for the Engen conversion. Redundant canopy services were removed, the fascia and branded elements were coordinated, and Engen signage was introduced across the site.
These visible changes completed the public-facing side of the fuel station conversion Gauteng project, while the new fuel infrastructure and services carried the deeper operational change behind the new identity.
Electrical upgrades supported the forecourt, dispensers, shop equipment, signage, paypoint, turnstile and fuel systems. The wider scope also included coordination of refrigeration, air-conditioning, kitchen extraction and ventilation, as well as relocation of the generator.
The number of connected packages meant the retail fuel station project Jeff Masemola depended on careful project management.
The included coordination of building plans, a Site Development Plan request, fire inspections, drainage certification, ventilation certification and fuel-system pressure testing.
Contaminated-soil management associated with the forecourt works was also addressed during the project.
A brand conversion of this scale crosses several disciplines at once. Fuel storage and dispensing, forecourt construction, retail design, building services, branding, municipal processes and specialist certification all affect the same completion date.
